Between 13 November 2015 and 30 April 2016 the Balkan Small Business Association is taking part in the implementation of the project BG04-04-05-13-09 "Training and education activities to increase the administrative capacity related to energy efficiency and renewable energy measures" which is funded under the financial mechanism of the European economic area 2009 – 2014. The Managing Authority of the programme is the Ministry of Energy of Bulgaria. The University of finance, business and entrepreneurship is a leading partner and coordinator of the project.
Partners in the project are The Balkans Small Business Association, the Bulgarian consulting company Energoefekt Consult and the Norwegian consulting company in the fields of energy, environment and safety, Norsk Energy.
The involves a number of training activities in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources for state and municipal experts in several cities of Bulgaria – Plovdiv, Haskovo, Burgas, Varna, Rousse and Pleven. The trainings are divided in three modules, two days each, that cover different topics. The content of the trainings will cover the following subject areas:
- Energy management in buildings
- Developing action plans in accordance with the national legislation and the EU directives
- Reporting the implementation of the action plans
- Energy audits – basics
- Contracts for energy efficiency
- Photovoltaics and air-conditioning – basics
- Practical training in solar thermal systems and photovoltaics using the Mobile Solar Lab of the Balkan Small Business Association
The project aims to raise the administrative capacity of Bulgarian municipal and state experts in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources so that upon completion of the trainings they will acquire the needed knowledge and skills to better develop and implement their municipal plans in the field of energy and also work as consultants and energy project managers to the municipalities or state institutions they represent.
